Events in Rochdale - Fitness

The Mobile Play Teams will be out and about across the borough organising activities throughout the summer holidays for children and young people up to the age of 14.

All activities are Free - just turn up between 1.00pm and 4.00pm each day and join in the fun!

Younger children are welcome if accompanied by an adult at all times - staff cannot provide childcare services.

• Cronkyshaw Common, Rochdale

Canal walk and ride, Littleborough Wharf. Enjoy a gentle walk and boat ride along the Rochdale canal.

Whitaker Moor and Hollingworth Lake. A moderately paced expedition (9 miles) on foot from Ogden Water to Hollingworth Lake and back.

A Tim Bobbin trail around Milnrow. Local Blue Badge Guide Margaret Clay leads a two hour stroll around Milnrow, telling the story of Lancashire dialect writer Tim Bobbin in the streets where he lived and worked.

Forgotten Valley. A challenging 8 mile walk from Owd Betts to Birtle through the Cheesden Valley.
